Target Audience and Tone

I believe that the target audience for the book Three Cups of Tea is adults. Firstly, the writing style was a little intense and complicated, so children might have a hard time with understanding the vocabulary. Mainly I think this book appeals for adults because Greg was an adult himself when decided that he wanted to make a difference in the world and this could demonstrate to adults reading this book that anyone can be an adovocate for peace, you just need a little inspiration.

The tone of the story is eager and inspirational because many important lessons were learned in the book, such as taking your time to make connections with people rather than trying to finish a job so quickly. The tone can also be portrayed as as eager because Greg is so enthusiastic to help others and this could lead to the book also being very inspirational because Mortenson was so motivated to make a difference in the world and he helped portray that anyone can be a humanitarian just by doing little things to help make a difference in the world.
